I stood quietly by the corner
Watching patiently ,
Watching those black eyes
As they scanned the crowd,
They were beautiful.
They were true,
Night was not darker
And day was never so bright;
They sat on either sides of her nose
Bridging the two halves of a moon,
One that rose on my sleeping soul;
Nothing else did I see,
Nothing that could be
More beautiful
Except maybe her smile,
That shall be my one regret.
